I had been diagnosed with poly cystic kidneys since I’ve been 18 years old. Since then, i have been in constant contact with local hospital, without making efforts, without direct hits. Now, at 43, my kidneys have failed. I had to go on dialisis 3 times per week, 6 hours per meeting. being connected to machines, so all your blood is proccesed there is no fun. But I was strong. And I moved on, because i knew that when a car has a faulty spare part, well, you just change the spare part. That are the kidneys. Spare parts. I was very happy when I went thorugh the transplant, after a lot of effort and money. I had to take tons of drugs, but now, with my own fresh new kidney I can look towards future with optimism. I hope that in the near future we can have kidneys developed from scratch, with stem cells. Growing your own organs will be excellent. Until then, donation is the best (and only) viable way to live. I want to thank GetKidney for the chance they gave me, to promote my need. It was really helpfull and I strongly recommend them to any person in a need for a kidney.
